Operating and Maintaining Low Voltage Agricultural Electrical Systems is a two day program where participants will learn how to operate, inspect and maintain single and three phase, low voltage AC electrical systems that are found on large, modern farming operations.
This
will not be a hands-on installation course as you require a licence to do this
work but it will qualify participants to safely operate their electrical systems,
recognize proper installation methods, implement a preventive maintenance
program and identify impeding failures.
Electrical safety will include arc flash, lightning protection and overhead line safety protection. Special emphasis will be made on the explosion hazards of gases and dusts and how to mitigate them. CSA Standard Z463 – Maintenance of Electrical Systems will be incorporated into this training. Troubleshooting DC Electrical Systems is a prerequisite for this training.
Who should attend: Non-Electrical workers responsible for the safe and efficient operation of their electrical systems.
Unfortunately, this course does not currently have any upcoming dates.
