Tim Dacey

Biography

Tim brings 42 years of experience in operations at various public and private utility companies starting with SaskPower in the late 70’s where he apprenticed as an electrician earning his Interprovincial Journeyman’s Electrician certification in the early 80’s. He continued to work as a Station Electrician for the next decade prior to moving into natural gas compression and transmission sector. After completing his Industrial Instrumentation Mechanic certification. Tim moved to Alliance pipeline to commission and start up the system in late 1999. Tim continued to work as a Controls Technician in Operations prior to taking on the area Team Leader role in Kerrobert Saskatchewan. Retiring from Alliance in 2017 having been the General and Regional Manager for the previous 10 years, accountable for daily pipeline operations in both Canada and the USA. Tim also managed 4 standalone 5-megawatt waste heat recovery power generation facilities. While at Alliance Tim worked in a high performing, self-directed team environment responsible for all aspects of facility, pipeline, and daily operations. Tim’s leadership, and control systems experience served him well as a commission lead and member of a standardization/optimization lead. Tim was a volunteer member on the Instrumentation Technology Advisory board at Palliser campus in Moose.
