Biography
Keith Holden has over 30 years experience in the high voltage electrical field. His educational background is comprised of Electrical Engineering Technician from Fleming College and in addition ongoing education including Tap Root Accident Investigation, Safe Start safety training, Measurement Canada Regulations.
He has worked with the largest utility Hydro One in various leadership and operational roles and provided several business efficiencies which resulted in being awarded the prestigious Presidents Award.
Some other areas of expertise include but not limited to the following:
- Completed unplanned/emergent /scheduled maintenance and capital programs on transmission and distribution assets, internal/external customer work, high voltage underground cables and rights of way in a manner which demonstrates focus on regulatory requirements, quality assurance, safety, environment, innovation and affordability.
- Provided instruction on HV and LV substation preventive maintenance procedures, asset condition and health and safety on substation facilities and assets
- Created, implemented and managed ISO 9000 quality management systems which resulted in an increased productivity and efficiency within Grid Operations
- Developed and implemented electrical/cable splicer maintainer apprenticeship training program to enhance training of electrical maintainer / cable splicer trades staff
- Subject matter expert in the area of Sulphur Hexafluoride (Sf6) management to ensure reduction of greenhouse gas emissions within Hydro One. 20% reduction year over year
He is passionate about the electrical field and continues to make a difference with his knowledge and ongoing contribution in the field.
